Operation Mommy Bundles

One of the goals of SmartChicks is to empower women.  So, for our first community service project, we decided to create beautiful mommy bundles packed with items that a brand new mom would need for her and her baby when they leave the hospital. The items were donated by our own members, as well as some community members and church family members. A very special thank you to the quilting group at Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown for sewing the bags.  The fabrics are beautiful and they were made with love.  With the help of the nurses in the Labor and Delivery Dept. at Samaritan Medical Center, we are able to donate these bags to some moms who might need a little extra help this holiday season. Thank you to all who made this a successful project.
